Installing TT2Go in the USB drive for Windows 8.1

A. Purpose

The aim of this document is to provide basic guidelines on how to download, install and configure the USB flash drive with the TeleTech® Windows to Go Operating System (TT2Go).

B. Before you begin


  • Windows 7 cannot be used, only Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
  • To have the USB Drive (3.0 or 3.1).
  • USB ports on your computer and your internet speed may play an important role (the whole process may take from 20 minutes to more than 2 hours).
  • Have your computer ready with the latest windows update.
  • Close all programs.
  • I M P O R T A N T !

    Make sure all USB drives or any other USB devices are removed (except keyboard and mouse).

     

    C. Downloading the image


    1. Insert the USB Drive in a USB port.
      • Unplug the headset.
      • Do not put the USB thumb drive into a USB Hub.
      • USB 3.0 would be ideal, preferable on the opposite side of the keyboard and mouse.

    2. Open Internet Explorer browser.
    3. Copy or Type this link to get the image (case sensitive):
      http://54.204.169.99/TT2Go.exe
    4. Click on the Save button and select Save as.

      The file is about 3GB size (3,232,349,616 bytes) so it may take from several minutes up to more than an hour to download, depending on your computer and your internet speed.
    5. Save it on the Desktop.

    6. Wait until it is 100% downloaded, then just close the Internet Explorer or the browser you are using.
      We will work from the icon saved on the Desktop.
      NOTE   Do not click on the Run button.

    D. Installing the image


    To begin with the installation of the image, do the following:
    1. Once the downloading is completed, close any window you have open, and double-click to start the installer (TT2Go.exe executable file) from the Desktop.
      NOTE  When you double-click to run the installer, it may take up to 20 minutes for the next window to appear because the file is large.

    2. If you have this Windows SmartScreen message, click on More info.

      NOTE 1  Some Smart Screen Warnings don’t have the chance to proceed until the more info button is selected.

    3. Click on the Run button.

    4. If you have a message from User Account Control (UAC), click on the Yes button to allow it.

    5. Extracting the file…
    6. An additional step is required (for Windows 8.1 operating system only) after extracting the file.
      • To open File Explorer, press Win + E keys.

      • Open the drive C:\. Next, open the folder Teletech and lastly open the folder TT2Go.
      • Right-click on the file setup.bat to run it as administrator.

    7. Enter your Oracle ID and press the Enter   key.w2go11.png
    8. Now the message that appears reads: “This will erase all data on disk 1…” (before the actual name of the USB Drive).
      I M P O R T A N T : Make sure the USB Drive is the only device plugged in. Failure to do this step could result in losing your important data.

      Type Y and press the Enter key or just press the Enter  key.

    9. This stage of the process may vary in time depending on your USB ports (3.0 is much faster than 2.0), the processor and your internet speed.

    10. When it reaches the 97%, it will take more time to finish, so you won’t see the percentage number increasing.

      Please don’t close nor interrupt the process.

    11. When you get this window, do the following:

      • To open File Explorer, press Win + E keys.

        • Open the drive C:\. Then, Open the folder Teletech.

        • Open the folder Boot.

        • Right-click on the file boot.bat to run it as administrator.
        • Once finished, return to the previous screen (the one with green characters) so the USB creation process can be completed.

    13. If you have a message from User Account Control (UAC), click on the Yes button to allow it.

    14. Wait until this window closes by itself or you may press CTRL+ C keys and return to the previous screen.

    15. On this window, press any key to continue. It is very important that you do not exit out the window..

    16. The USB creation has completed, click on the OK button.

    E. Warning
