Install and configure inContact softphone

A. GEO Trust CA certificate installation

  1. First, click on the Download GEO Certificate button. Once it finishes, double click on the GEO.cer file to begin the installation of the Certifcate.
  2. Click on the Install Certificate button.
    Please, do not click on the OK button.
  3. The option “Current User” is already selected. Click on the Next button.
  4. ”Automatically select the certificate store based on the type of certificate” is already selected. Click on the Next button.
  5. Click on the Finish button.
  6. And lastly, click on the OK button. The installation is completed.

B. Installing inContact softphone

  1. After clicking on the download button, look in the yellow ribbon and click on the Run button.
  2. If you have the User Account Control (UAC) message, click on the Yes button to allow it.
  3. Leave English language and click on the OK button.
  4. If you don’t have the Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 installed, a message will prompt, click on the OK button.
  5. On the Welcome screen, click on the Next button.
  6. Check the box to accept the terms in the License Agreement. Then, click on the Next button.
  7. Launch this program when Windows starts must be unchecked. Then, click on the Next button.
  8. Click on the Install button.
  9. Upon completion, you will receive the following confirmation. Click on the Finish button.

Next section explains how to configure your softphone.


B. Configuring inContact softphone

Continuing from previous section, let’s configure your softphone.

  1. If the application window does not open by itself, open it using the icon you have at the Desktop.
  2. Choose the Profile dropdown menu.
  3. Select the US option unless your Username (number) begins with a 7006.
  4. Enter the Username and Password that has been provided to you.
    • This is the only information needed to pull down the configuration file for your softphone.
    • The username is the 700 #.
    • The password is the device password.


  5. Enter your License Key and click on the Add button.
  6. Click on the Done button.
  7. Launch the Agent with your softphone number.
  8. You can enable auto answer, with the more call options button.
    This setting does not save and must be activated daily.
